History
The first restaurant that Kimberly Ming ever owned was Ming Palace which was open for over a decade. The experience that she gained from Ming Palace enticed her to open a new restaurant.
On February, Friday the 13th of 1998 Lemongrass opened with a very unique ceremony. It is a tradition in Thailand to bless a restaurant before it opens. Five monks performed the ceremony which invited the angels and saints to listen to beautiful music and to reflect on the Buddhist scriptures. Lemongrass has served the community for 10 years and it’s still going strong.
Just recently, Kimberly wanted to indulge her passion and attended Culinary School in Arizona called Arizona Culinary Institute. Kimberly was certain that she wasn’t going to like baking/ pastry class. Instead, she excelled and she is constantly trying new things in the kitchen, so don’t be surprised if Crème Brule or Triple Mousse Cake is on special for the night.
